Maybe I never left. Who knows? The techmeme algrorithm is as secret as google's. As it probably should be. It's already pretty easy to get on the homepage of techmeme if you're in the their tech blog index. (Of course, that's a fairly earned position.) All you have to do is pay attention to what's news and blog about it quickly. If that news item proves popular, you show up. Then, you get traffic.
Techmeme is the online equivalent of a circle jerk.
I've never gotten a blog post on my blog to be a headline article on the site. However, for awhile, I was being listed as part of the discussion - when the fancy struck me to blog about timely things. It hasn't happened for a few months, though. That's probably because I haven't blogged as much and the law of averages says: if i blog less, I'll be on techmeme less. Or maybe Techmeme noticed I haven't blogged as much or haven't linked to as many other techy blogs. And they unranked me somehow.
When I linked to Lee LeFever's bookmarking video, though, it looks like I've been included in the discussion list. So, I'm definitely back in the index. Or maybe I never left. Who knows? (I'm asking.)
