There's something odd about this screenshot:
The top talks about changing the world. Then, he talks about launching a website so people can share rumors. I don't know. But, I think someone needs a little gut check.
I applaud Guy for taking a stab at actually starting a business. Writing blogs and books is a lot of work. But, it's a little too easy for pseudo-celebrities to take the pseudo to the honeypot. Like Seth Godin, Kawasaki has been riding his own coattails to the bank. After all, Paris Hilton's blog would be popular too, if she started one.
But, how the hell did he settle on Truemors as a business? And is it a business? I suggest to Guy Kawasaki, that there's a few questions in between, "How do I start a new business on the web?" and "How do I change the world?" besides the question, "How much is it going to cost me to get started?" For example: What is the sustainable competitive advantage? Who does it provide value to? How bad does someone need it? How much would it cost them if they didn't have it?
It's time for Guy to pick a copy of his own book.
