The web's ability to record what you "pay-attention-to" is what is minting google billions. Other big web companies are catching on. They're using what they know about you to make a lot of money. Which is fine... the making money part. But, they will eventually abuse it: they don't follow the principles of AttentionTrust. The Attention Trust principles define the rules that respect our individual rights.
Read/Write web has a great piece about how we 'as participants' and we 'as entrepreneurs' can take back control of the situation and create a fairer more equitable media industry that serves us all better.
