Looking for Project Manager. Westborough, MA

I've increased sales significantly in the last two weeks. We've signed on a handful or recurring clients that are paying us healthy up front fees to help them design and market their events.  Prior to two weeks ago, I spent most of my month servicing clients from a good sales month in May.  Sales have been up and down because I've historically reduced my sales activity in order to service our clients.

If I can spend more of my time selling, I can grow this business pretty rapidly and reliably. I needed a project manager before last month.  Now, we can afford one.

So, we are looking for a person to come in and be a project/office manager. Projects would be event by event. Most events would be recurring monthly or quarterly. The person would be responsible for effectively managing the promotion of an event using WhizSpark.  In the case of an event like Dave Kurlan's webinar, this person would be calling his distributors and making sure that they are promoting the event through their newsletters and websites. There's a bit of posturing involved so that the distributors buy into the program. The harder work - for someone that isn't a sales person - is calling potential promotional sponsors for an event like Dr. Craig's health and wellness seminar and getting them to promote an event in exchange for exposure on the event website and at the event - or other benefits. It's not hard since you aren't really asking for money, but the person has to be able to convey the benefits properly and ask the right questions before going right into the spiel. Further, I design each event with the client and lay out the promotional process. So most of the calls are warm - meaning they are from my rolodex or the client's. Some calls will be cold, though. So, this person has to be persistent and not be stopped by a bit of rejection.

The most important requirements about this job are that the person must be organized and must like people. They should also be comfortable using web based applications, email, creating links and other basic web stuff. Experience with events would be helpful, but not necessary. Experience with graphic design and copywriting would be helpful, but not necessary. The gist of the job is that I'll sell the jobs and this person will manage the client and the projects. They'll be responsible for delivering things on time and according to plan.

The person has to be able to come to our office. This'll probably start out 20 hours/week w/ one or two projects. Once we get to know you and feel comfortable with your performance, it'll increase to full time. The person must be willing to come on board full time when the time is right. There'll be an hourly pay which is negotiable.  Since the person will be our in house "attendance" expert and will be responsible for promoting events, we can work out performance bonuses based on event registrations. 

This person will also answer the phone, answer inquiries from our website and set up some appointments for me when I am out making sales calls.
