Brian Dear

Ethan's new post was interesting to me because I used the same Long Tail graphic when I presented at PC Forum in March 2005 as well as to various other parties previous to that. The argument was, EVDB's about the Long Tail of Events, we're as interested in helping people find out about U2 concerts as we are about lectures at the local bookstore or little league games at the local ballpark.

Web2.0 for Events is already starting to happen in a big way that is going to get way bigger. What we've done with www.evdb.com and api.evdb.com is just the tip of the iceberg.

Ethan's project is interesting, albeit puzzling. One of his cohorts told me in person the other day, they're "copying" EVDB. How original.

Looks like the fun is starting to begin!

As I've told you, Brian, I am loving what you guys are doing. And usually, imitation is a sign of flattery.

I am looking forward to seeing what Zvents comes up with. I doubt they'll icerocket their way into this game. But, who knows?

It looks like WhizSpark has some competition too. Albeit a one man stealth machine.
