Fundable.org has gotten a lot of blog press and justifiably so. For those that don't know, fundable.org is a website that lets users create fund drives. The fund drives can be for any purpose: to fund a software project, to raise funds for a non profit, to raise funds for a group purchase. The goal for how many participants and how much each has to give is set by the person creating the action. If the goal isn't met, all the money is refunded. It is a no risk way to support a mini or a major cause.
I love it. Jeremy Wright loves it. Matt "Wordpress" Mullenweg thinks it is neat. Even my buddy, Seth Godin loves it. Gina Trapani thinks it is link worthy.
User Driven has set up a fundable.org action to thank fundable.org. I've donated to it. I think fundable.org is something that should be put into practice. It is a refreshingly new method for collective commerce and philanthropy.
