Bob Bernier of SaveHipHop.org is one of our earliest supporters and is using the WhizSpark tools to do some good for hip hop artists and fans in Boston. Earlier today, I attempted a bit of hip hop style slang, but Bob can tell ya that I aint no good at it. I love the realness and inventiveness of the slang, though. And how the written word and speech don't differ. Here's an excerpt from the event website that Bob put up:
Let me say this real quick, this has been a good year for us here in the Bean lets capitalize on it.
is at its all time hater low, and we should take this opportunity to build with one another and tighten the scene.
Members of The Committee are putting on the ultimate build May 27th. It's the Spring Meet & Greet. We are trying to get everybody who is somebody that counts in the music biz here to build under 1 roof and make it happen. Mass is too small a state to have us segregated in such a way... This is our music.
Last year's Meet & Greet was hot and the request for the next one was crazy
So, if your interested, here's the site. RSVP, peep the sponsors, peep your friends. We're proud to be supporting this. Anything that breaks down walls and gets people to communicate is good for all of us.
Bob also has a "tight" podcast going on - that he's been postin up on music-post. Out.
