SponsorABum.org Part II
Buck Paxton has seemingly-independently proposed a SponsorABum.org-like scheme for helping the downtrodden:
If the city labeled the panhandlers as freelancers of sorts and turned them into advertising space we could let them stand around all day and get something useful in return. And I’m not just talking corporate advertising here. We could have them collecting donations for Little Leagues in town, The Jimmy Fund, bands and local event promoters could give them their own signs to hold. The lowest common denominator could be turned, virtually overnight, into the single largest fundraising/promotions outfit in the cities history.
Somebody elect this guy to local office!

Comment from Pizza Schmizza guy:
Jehan said the idea sprang from the guilt he felt passing homeless people begging for money.
"I got tired of not being able to make eye contact with these people. I thought, 'What skills could they have?' Holding a sign was an obvious one," he said.
Sidenote: I google-own Buck's name. Even though that isn't his real name. Probably not the best thing, Brendan.
Kinda reminds me of a 50 cent song:
Dance floor jam packed, hot as a teakettle
I'll break it down for you now, baby it's simple

thats funny Pete, I don't think I ever saw that post of yours. Maybe we need to start drawing up a business plan before the city scares away all our contractors.
