I was browsing WhizSpark today and looking at the profile that[we wish] Paris Hilton created on it and I saw the google image ads. It is a full banner image ad, which I didn't expect. Google is officially an ad network, on par with its predecessors.

Update: Here is the explanation (might require login) by google for the image ads. I heard previously that they were launching this, but this is the first time I have seen it. I am actually pretty excited about it. As a publisher partner, I imagine there are opportunities to make more $ for some content using image ads, rather than text ads. And the page looks pretty cool with a big banner of Paris and Nicole.
